Cooking the Mysterious Artichoke
As an East coaster, my experience with artichokes is limited, so wife from California hopefully takes away the mystery. It is actually pretty easy.
Preparing the artichoke flower buds. In the videos below we cut off the end of the stem and the top of the bud. Then trim the points on the petals.
Place them in the steamer and cook for 35 to 45 minutes.
Test them with a knife to see if they are soft.
Enjoy your artichokes.
