Hollandaise sauce is an excellent sauce to place on green vegetables and egg dishes. Plus there are numerous other dishes that can be flavored with a good Hollandaise sauce.
This is a real simple sauce that takes only a few minutes to make. The only thing difficult about this recipe is that you have to constantly stir as the butter melts otherwise we make scrambled eggs. Kids can definitely be a distraction.
Ingredients:
- 1 Fresh squeeze of lemon
- 1 egg yoke (see our post on separating egg yokes)
- a couple tablespoons of butter until the correct amount is made
Makes enough for 4 servings
Stir constantly until the desired constancy.
